Our dancers are expected to work hard, show respect, support one another, and take pride in representing Powerhouse both inside and outside the studio. We don't ask our dancers to be perfect. We ask them to be coachable, accountable, and to encourage others while celebrating growth. Each rehearsal is an opportunity to leave better than they arrived.

What Team Participation Includes

Our Competition Team participates in a variety of experiences designed to help dancers grow as performers and as individuals.

Competitions

Our dancers attend 3–4 regional competitions each season, with qualifying teams also participating in a National Championship event. These competitions provide valuable performance experience while teaching resilience, professionalism, and sportsmanship.

Conventions

Competition dancers at Powerhouse Dance Complex participate in at least one dance convention each season, training with nationally recognized instructors and experiencing different teaching styles that broaden their education.

Master Classes & Guest Artists

Throughout the season, dancers work with guest choreographers and industry professionals, providing them opportunities to challenge themselves, build versatility, and gain inspiration from leaders in the dance community.

Our dancers are placed in classes based on age, technical ability, and readiness—not simply by grade level. This allows every dancer to be challenged appropriately while continuing to build a strong technical foundation.
